The alpine environment is characterized by high mountains, steep peaks with a rugged landscape. The fragile ecosystem is home to unique flora and fauna that have adapted to the harsh conditions. The snow-capped mountains and crystal clear alpine lakes provide a breathtaking backdrops to the landscape. During the summer months, the alpine meadows burst with vibrant wildflowers , while in winter the landscape is transformed into a winter wonderland, with snowy slopes and frozen lakes. Although my time visiting these alpine areas have been limited over the years, it's a landscape that I truly adore and will be visiting more in the future.
